History
Vallarez began as a fortified harbor town protecting a vital stretch of coastline between the southern trade routes. Its natural harbor and strong defensive walls allowed it to grow into a stable and influential port.
More recently, House Vallaro consolidated political authority, ruling with the backing of the city’s merchant and noble elite. Though governed by a council in theory, Vallarez has effectively remained under Vallaro leadership for a hundred years.
